What’s New

2026:

THE PLANTS ARE COMING! THE PLANTS ARE COMING!

Mark May 23rd on your calendar and get your shovels ready! The original May 16th date that was published in The Sedalia View was rescheduled to the 23rd. So come to the Museum, located at 4037 Platte Ave. in Sedalia, and check out what’s available May 23rd 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Find that perfect plant your garden needs!

Come support the Museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year and you can pick up some tomatoes (including heirloom tomatoes), a variety of veggies (including peppers), flowers for outdoors, succulents, houseplants and much, much more! Including varieties you won’t find at the big box stores!

What makes it worthwhile to get your plants from the Museum’s plant sale rather than a big box store? Because the plants we sell are acclimated to grow well in the west Douglas County area. The seedlings are GROWN in Sedalia (without harmful chemicals) so they can THRIVE in Douglas County! And we have Master Gardeners onsite during the sale to help you find the perfect plant!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA!

This is a big year for the USA, it’s 250 years old! And Colorado is 150 years old! There’s going to be a big celebration in Sedalia, so stay tuned to this site for more details!
