Sedalia Museum and Gardens

Welcome to our free museum.  When you enter the door you will be greeted by your guide and you can either take an easy, casual stroll around the museum and peruse the narratives and photos and artifacts on your own or you can join the guide for an interesting, informative narrative about the museum itself and the display and all the history related to it.  You will hear colorful stories and have an opportunity to ask questions. You will be encouraged to take a tour outside around the demonstration gardens to see the beautiful plants that tend to thrive in this area.  If you have questions or want to do research about the area and families or events we have information available and can also provide resources you can contact.

If you would like to have a tour with your group or have someone come and give a presentation to you, we can accommodate you and we also have a historic Sedalia walk available.

At the heart of Sedalia, our museum is devoted to safeguarding the town’s rich history while fostering a vibrant sense of community. Through dynamic exhibits, educational programs, and a flourishing CSU demonstration garden, we invite visitors to connect with the stories that shape our region.

📚 A Center for Learning and Engagement

Beyond displaying historical artifacts, the museum serves as a cornerstone for community outreach. Our educational initiatives illuminate the significance of Sedalia’s past and encourage active participation from residents of all ages. Special events and thoughtfully curated publications spark curiosity and deepen appreciation for the cultural heritage that defines our town.
