SUMMARY:July 4th 2025 Ice Cream Social
DESCRIPTION:Visitors to the museum will experience a day in the life of Sedalia Pioneers 1860 to 1900. \nWe have a live local band\, free ice cream made by volunteers\, 3 story tellers in pioneer costume garb\, and a fire station chili-cookoff. \nUpdate: The chili-cookoff got off to a slow start because the firefighters had to put out a fire in the morning! Then a deluge forced everyone inside the fire station training room. Soon the sun came out and the festival continued.

SUMMARY:Winterfest 2025
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Winterfest is a Sedalia community event with the participation of many merchants\, the elementary school\, and volunteer groups. \nThey offer gifts\, drawings\, goodies\, and activities. If you don’t want to walk\, there are two free tractor-drawn hay wagons to transport people to local shops. The museum features Santa’s Workshop which offers a chance for children to shop for gifts for their families.  The gifts are donated\, gift-wrapped by volunteers\, and only cost $1. The workshop also helps to write letters to Santa.
