SUMMARY:July 4th 2025 Ice Cream Social
DESCRIPTION:Visitors to the museum will experience a day in the life of Sedalia Pioneers 1860 to 1900. \nWe have a live local band\, free ice cream made by volunteers\, 3 story tellers in pioneer costume garb\, and a fire station chili-cookoff. \nUpdate: The chili-cookoff got off to a slow start because the firefighters had to put out a fire in the morning! Then a deluge forced everyone inside the fire station training room. Soon the sun came out and the festival continued.

SUMMARY:Winterfest 2024
DESCRIPTION:Winterfest – A community holiday celebration with hayrides around town to local shops. Santa’s workshop offers donated items for kids to shop for family gifts that will also be wrapped for one dollar. \nMassive gift sale. Donated gifts filled the entire training room\, tables\, and floors too. These were sold for $1 each. Presents were wrapped and bagged by volunteers. \nThe museum was open and tours were given. \nLetters to Santa by Nancy George-Nichols. Children dictated their “letters to Santa” while Nancy recorded it.
