July 4th 2025 Ice Cream Social

Visitors to the museum will experience a day in the life of Sedalia Pioneers 1860 to 1900.

We have a live local band, free ice cream made by volunteers, 3 story tellers in pioneer costume garb, and a fire station chili-cookoff.

Update: The chili-cookoff got off to a slow start because the firefighters had to put out a fire in the morning! Then a deluge forced everyone inside the fire station training room. Soon the sun came out and the festival continued.
